About

Collecting environmental data in remote areas can be challenging for field scientists, but (luckily) trail users frequently recreate in remote areas – offering a significant opportunity for intentional contribution. Runoff Science was designed to a) expand the spatial extent of existing water quality data and observations and b) inspire trail users and environmental stewards to learn more about their local watersheds and engage in citizen science initiatives.

Runoff Science efforts are currently structured around organized, group citizen science adventures, but there is hope to expand to more independent reporting of water quality observations in the future. If you are interested in getting involved with Runoff Science, please contact us at info@runoffscience.org.
